This person here: www.facebook.com/International… has been using many Deviants' Halo images without their permission. It's unknown whether they've been claiming them as their own images, but one thing's for sure.
They aren't lniking back to the original owners, which include:

LeviWasTaken
OnlyObsessive
Dragunalb
:devckfowler:
DrAssenov

And many others.

Now, I'm not one who usually knows how to handle these sort of situations, but I've asked them to please take down my images. I've received no response.
I trust you guys know what to do, right? (not that I'm forcing the problem onto you or anything ^^;)

Anyway, that was the final draw.
The rest of my pictures will contain a watermark (even though watermarks are like mud or bug guts on a beautifully painted canvas :depressed: but hey. What else can I do really?)

So... yeah.

I of course don't like it when this stuff happens, especially with no credit back to who created the work, but at the same time I think watermarks work too well. As an artist who's always interested in new readers/viewers, I'd rather make my art as accessible as possible and risk a few people misusing it like this incident (as long as they are not profiting from it).

The people who truly care about your work will find out who's responsible for it. With things like Google image search, its easier than ever to trace a piece of art back to its maker.
